Our Pastor

Pastor Allen Evans, Jr.

Pastor Allen Evans, Jr. is originally from Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his high school education at Shawnee High School and attended the University of Louisville and Simmons Bible College in the same city. At age 21, Reverend Evans realized his calling to preach and has since served as the Pastor of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church for the past 42 years. Currently, he holds the position of Senior Pastor at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church. He is grateful to have the support of six associate ministers under his guidance.

 

Throughout his service as a Pastor at St. James Baptist Church, Pastor Evans has established several programs for various age groups, including adults, young adults, and children. He is particularly passionate about working with children who have experienced difficulties in their lives. His unique gift from God is his ability to train individuals for leadership and ministry, ultimately contributing to the growth of God’s Kingdom.

 

Pastor Evans is married to the former Delphine Gordon and has two adult children and six grandchildren.
