Inspired Christian Men
WHO WE ARE
We, the Inspired Christian Men (ICM) of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, guide males in becoming leaders in church, community, and family, through a deep understanding of biblical commitments and men’s role in the church.
PURPOSE
Oue mission is to bring men into the faith train them to become disciples of Jesus Christ, and provide assistance to the physical needs of the commuity.
MISSION
ICM Ministry supports men’s unique needs, acting as mentors and counselors for the youth. Our objective is to connect men with God, His Word, and other men to train and equip them to win in life, grow in faith, and live fulfilling lives in Christ.
TRAINING – God’s man receives regular/weekly biblical instruction (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
PRACTICING – God’s man learns how to apply God’s Word to all areas of life. (James 1:22-25; Ezekiel 33:30-32).
UNITING – Connecting with other men on a regular basis for community, accountability, confession, and prayer is a top priority for a Godly man (Galatians 6:1-3; James 5:16; Hebrews 10:23-24).
REACHING – God has called each of us to use our gifts and talents to serve others (1 Peter 4:10-11; Ephesians 4:11-13). Men’s ministry can be a great way for men to fulfill this calling.
IMPACTING – Investing time and resources in others is what defines a true man of God (2 Tim. 2:22; Proverbs 27:17; Mark 3:13-14).
SHARING – God’s man learns to actively share his faith in order to lead others into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15; Matthew 28:18-20).
